One local man may be unfriending a few people after an argument that originated on Facebook led to some damaged property Tuesday afternoon.
Madison Police have arrested 20-year-old Blair Cook after he allegedly jumped on the car of a man he had been in a fight with over Facebook. According to the police report, another suspect jumped on the car as well, who is still at large.
Madison police spokesperson Joel DeSpain said the details of the Facebook argument are not being released, but when the suspects spotted the 19-year-old victim at the Mobil gas station on Gammon Road Tuesday afternoon, they approached him and caused a disturbance.
DeSpain said when police arrived to the scene they found damage to the roof and hood of the victim’s car.
DeSpain said the suspect was civil when police detained and apprehended him in a Schroeder Road parking lot.
“The witnesses provided a description of the car [the suspect] was driving and it was pulled over not too far from the area where the disturbance took place, but it did not indicate that he tried to get away or anything like that,” DeSpain said.
Cook was arrested for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct.
