First Lady Michelle Obama will campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke at the Overture Center in Madison next week Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the free, ticketed “grassroots” campaign event. Attendees should arrive early to allow time to get through security, a Burke campaign statement said.
Tickets are available prior to the event. Those interested can get them Friday, Oct. 3 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Democratic Party offices at the University of Wisconsin, Middleton and Madison locations (a map of all three locations is below).
Bags, umbrellas, signs and sharp objects are not allowed, and attendees may bring small cameras and cellphones. Water will be available at the event.
