Talent Show Contestants Bring It On

TalentShow_SG
Street Pulse and Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group worked together to present a variety show meant to showcase the talent of University of Wisconsin students and members of Madison\’s homeless community. The show was organized to raise awareness as well as funds through raffle and donation. Many popular UW groups performed at the event, including HYPNOTIQ (pictured above) and the Madhatters. Street Pulse Editor in Chief Rory Linnane talked about the dire need of Madison\’s homeless. She said more than 7,000 people in Madison are homeless and two thirds of those people are families with children. She said Street Pulse addresses one of those needs — the need to express themselves, adding they try to raise money while they are at it.[/media-credit]
