In the 167 years since the University of Wisconsin was founded, nearly every element of the school has changed with the times.
From the size of campus to our growing student body, some changes stand out more than others. But one element that may often go overlooked? The courses.
Notable among these bygone classes was a series of lessons on tractor driving, offered as a part of the agricultural program that once-dominated the Western end of campus.
Sadly, proficiency in tractor piloting has lost the social currency it once had. Contemporary Badgers no longer hold a skilled operator of farm machinery in such high regard as our peers from the past.
