When it’s time to say goodbye, sometimes it’s best to do so with a bang.
That’s just what happened Saturday, during MUNICIPAL, an event put on by the Bubbler at Madison Public Library at the Municipal Building the day before its renovation.
Billed as a celebration of the building and its history on its Facebook event page featuring more than 100 local artists, this description, while accurate, did little justice to the splendor attendees were greeted with on Saturday.
The artists and the Bubbler transformed the building into a nexus of art and creativity, with the spectators acting like faithful bees, spreading honeyed observation and insight throughout the space.
It was an event that eludes description, but luckily a picture is worth 1,000 words, as they say.
