Fantasy Fever, week four

OK, it's week four. By now, you have a fairly good idea of whether your team is destined for greatness, or whether they are doomed to perform like Danny Tanner in a mud wrestling match.

It's always good to have goals going into a week, so on that note, my personal challenge is to not mention Kyle Orton in this edition of FF. Oh no, look what I did…five interceptions…must stop. Phew! Well, the good news for Mr. Orton is he doesn't play this week.

How about Daunte Culpepper? All I can say is finally! No coincidence that the Vikings' offense clicks when they settle on one primary running back and give him the ball more than 10 times.

And who could ever have dreamed of a fantasy shootout between Drew Bledsoe (363 yards and two touchdowns) and Tim Rattay (269 yards and three scores)? What in the name of Ickey Woods got into those two?

But, enough of the silliness. Here's the FF low-down on week four…

Player of the Week

LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, San Diego Chargers

21 carries, 192 yards, three rushing touchdowns, six catches, 28 yards, one completion for 26 yards and one touchdown.

Yeah, recapping that stat line takes quite a while. Tomlinson is a one-man offense, and he pretty much single-handedly beat the Giants last week. LT is the top player in fantasy football, so if you don't have him, there's always next year…

Mailbag

I currently have Peyton Manning, Duce Staley and Baltimore's defense, and I'm wondering if any of these expert picks are ever going to be worth playing. Or, should I trade them for Braylon Edwards and a sandwich at Potbellys, because right now, I'm hungry, and those three haven't done anything for me. Even Daunte Culpepper, who had two negative weeks in a row, got something right last week. So my question is, do I hang on to these "solid" picks, or should I trade Peyton for his kid brother, tell Staley to go take a first name, and go buy some Under Armour
