Details announced for UW v. Fresno State

Wisconsin’s Sept. 8 football game against Fresno State at Camp Randall Stadium will begin at 11:10 a.m. CT and be televised nationally by ESPN, the Big Ten conference announced today.

The Badgers and Bulldogs will be facing each other for the first time in history. Fresno State went 7-5 last season, including an appearance in the Silicon Valley Football Classic. Wisconsin is coming off a 9-4 season that included a victory in the Sun Bowl.

This is the fourth UW gametime that has been announced for the upcoming season. The Badgers kick off the 2001 season on Aug. 25 at home against Virginia in the Eddie Robinson Classic. That game begins at 1 p.m. CT and will be televised by Fox Sports Net. Wisconsin travels to Oregon on Sept. 1 in a game that will start at 7 p.m. CT and be carried by ABC. The UW’s game at Ohio State on Oct. 13 will also be televised nationally by ABC, starting at 2:30 p.m. CT.
