Herring and Nelson Compete at USA Track and Field Championships

Eugene, OR – UW senior T.J. Nelson and junior Len Herring competed today in the final day of the GMC Envoy USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Nelson finished sixth in his semifinal heat of the 110-meter hurdles while Herring was 14th in the triple jump.

Nelson competed in the second heat of the day running a time of 13.91 seconds. The top four finishers in each heat advanced to the final. Larry Wade and Dominique Arnold were the third and fourth qualifiers from the second heat, both finishing in a time of 13.67 seconds. Nelson’s time was good for 11th place overall.
