A first-degree sexual assault occurred Friday night between 10:00 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. near Memorial Union.
A woman was held down by three men who sexually assaulted her, according to a University of Wisconsin Police Department crime warning. She was held against her will with a knife.
Marc Lovicott, UWPD spokesperson, said the victim was in her 20s and was not a UW student. Lovicott said he did not know the extent of her injuries.
The victim was not able to provide detailed descriptions of the suspects and could not convey specific details about the location of the assault. UWPD has not yet identified the suspects.
