A sexual assault was reported last Thursday in the Southeast dorms, according to a University of Wisconsin crime warning sent to students and staff Monday morning.
UW was informed of the incident on Monday, but there is currently no ongoing investigation because it was not reported to police, according to Marc Lovicott, UWPD Director of Communications.

To protect the victim’s confidentiality, UWPD cannot disclose the dorm in which the assault took place.
The victim and suspect know each other, but the victim has chosen not to file a report at this time, Lovicott said.
Though UWPD does not currently have much information on the incident because it was not reported them, Lovicott said he assumes the victim is being referred to treatment services as is typical procedure following sexual assault.
