EAGON, MANIACI WIN DISTRICTS 8, 2

University of Wisconsin junior Bryon Eagon has won the race to replace Ald. Eli Judge, District 8, on the Madison Common Council, defeating UW junior Mark Woulf, preliminary results obtained by the Herald show.

Meanwhile, in District 2, UW alumna Bridget Maniaci has defeated longtime incumbent Brenda Konkel. Konkel conceded the election shortly after the 9 p.m. hour.

And in District 5, Shiva Bidar-Sielaff has defeated Hamilton Arendsen to overtake the seat vacated by Ald. Robbie Webber.

Also, Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk has claimed victory in her race against Nancy Mistele.

On the state level, the Associated Press has projected that Shirley Abrahamson has defeated Jefferson County Circuit Court Judge Randy Koschnick in the race for supreme court justice.
