I just got into this band and I’ve been jamming to this CD all
week. It’s so catchy. I’m sure everyone can relate to this song in particular. We’ve
all got that person who we used to care about, but they had unrealistic
expectations of us.

“Opposites Attract” by Kendrick Lamar
Ever since hearing Kendrick Lamar’s most recent album, good kid m.a.a.d city, I can’t stop listening to him. This track is a throwback to his older album where he gives even more proof that he’s the real deal. Personally, I think Lamar is the best rapper I have heard in years. Check him out!

Chris Kim’s pick:
“Sol.” by Mausi
Mausi’s new single “Move” was released a couple weeks ago, and the track reminded me how great “Sol.” is. It’s a really fun and catchy dance song; it’s the perfect song to get you in a cheery mood in the morning. Masui’s still relatively new with only two songs out, and I’d expect them to blow up soon if they can keep producing quality work.

“Say That” by Toro y Moi
Some songs require awkward, understated pelvic thrusts. “Say That,” off Toro y Moi’s newest album, is one of those songs. “She’s alright / I’m alright / We’re alright,” sings a deadpan Chazwick Bundwick over a funky electro beat. The perfect song for any good-natured, terribly executed make-out session.

“Drunk On You” by Luke Bryan
The lyrics “I’m a little drunk on you and high on summertime” epitomize how I want my life to be right now, especially with all this rainy, snowy weather. And let’s be honest, what country-loving girl wouldn’t want Luke Bryan serenading you.

“Leave My Body” by Florence + the Machine
I know I’m late to the game on this one, but Florence’s Ceremonials is easily one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to. Florence Welch’s powerful, haunting vocals are unlike anything out there in the music industry today. “Leave My Body” is just one of the tracks that exemplifies her extraordinary talent and the depth of the album. Can’t. Stop. Listening.
