After a hard-fought win over the University of Minnesota-Duluth last night, the Wisconsin men’s hockey team returns to try and get the sweep tonight.
Though the final score reads 5-2, the game was still up for grabs until the last two minutes, at a score of 3-2. UMD pulled goaltender Kenny Reiter for an extra attacker, but senior Aaron Bendickson got an empty net goal just seconds after Reiter got to the bench to give the Badgers a comfortable 4-2 lead.
After being swept last weekend by Bemidji State, the Bulldogs are sure to come out firing to avoid a second consecutive sweep. The Badgers are yet to pull off a road sweep this season.
