Wisconsin vs. Purdue

2:30 – We’ll be blogging live from West Lafayette today as the No. 11 Badgers play the Boilermakers here at Mackey Arena.

Check back throughout the game for updates. (Posting will be in CST)

3:00 – Purdue’s student section, the “Paint Crew,” is introduced as the team’s official 6th man. The “Crew” is averaging 0.0 points per game on the season, but Boilermaker coach Matt Painter expects that to change today.

3:25 – Purdue uses a 10-0 to take a 12-4 lead with 11:53 to play in the half. The combination of the Boilermaker’s defense and the stadium noise has given the Badgers a lot of trouble on the offensive end.

3:38 – It’s been a very physical game so far and the ‘Due leads 15-13 with 7:09 to play in the half.

3:47 – 19-17 Purdue, 3:56 to go.

4:21 – Brian Butch hurt himself and the Badgers find themselves down 35-34 with 15:16 to go.

4:30 – Purdue 40-38, 11:50 to play. The Boilermakers’ “6th man” still hasn’t scored and instead has turned its attention to throwing paper airplanes.

4:41 – Mini run for the Boilermakers put them up 47-41 with 8:14 to go.

5:00 – Wisconsin’s in trouble, Purdue leads 55-50 with about 2 and half minutes to play.

5:05 – 1:36 to go…57-54 Purdue…UW ball…
