TAMPA (MV) — As we reach the half, Tennessee's defense is starting to show many of the same vulnerabilities as Wisconsin's. Neither squad seems to have the proper zone coverage answer to the other's passing game, as has been evidenced by not merely wide open receivers but hefty yards after the catch as safeties are forced to close and attempt to square up in the open field.
Donovan did go down briefly, indicating a leg ailment of sorts, but has returned to the game at this point, leading Wisconsin to its last touchdown. Oddly, Allan Evridge could be seen warming up on the sideline before Donovan ever went down (though the starting quarterback had taken a nasty blow above the shoulder pads earlier in the game) — his brief foray into the game proved unmemorable, though.
We're now at the half, with Tennessee up 21-14 on Wisconsin. I'll be back when the action resumes.
