Aside from the UW football team’s 42-21 win Saturday (which you can see weblogged below), several other Wisconsin teams were in action over the weekend.

The UW men’s soccer team earned its first win of the season, capturing a 1-0 decision over Western Michigan. Sophomore forward Brian Bultman tallied the lone Wisconsin goal in the game’s 77th minute. The Badgers are now 1-1-0 on the season.

The UW women’s soccer team lost Sunday at the Georgia Nike Invitational in Athens, Ga., 3-1. The Badgers were outshot 23-to-4 in the match, forcing Georgia goalkeeper Michelle Betos to make only one save.

The UW volleyball team swept American University Saturday night to finish second at the BYU Molten Classic.
