While it wasn’t at the position some may have expected coming into the year as a top five running back, according to Rivals.com, Clay did see the field Saturday … on special teams. It was Clay who made the tackle on WSU punter Darryl Blunt’s first-down run following the block. Until he catches up with fellow freshman back Zach Brown after coming to camp late, Clay will continue to only see the field as a special teamer.
