After holding Washington State to a fourth down, Kirk DeCreamer blocked the punt. The Cougars recovered the block and ran it for a first down. On the next play, Washington State quarterback Alex Brink connected on a 38-yard completion to the nine yard line, and the Cougars punched the ball in for a touchdown the next play.
