In fall of 2009, Fox aired the musical comedy, Glee. Not completely convinced it would
be a hit, the station ordered half a season of 13 episodes. After a Golden
Globe award for Best Television Series (musical or comedy), 19 Emmy
nominations, and a tour across the country, the show has become more than just
a success, but a nationwide phenomenon.
Glee will return for
its second season this fall, premiering on Fox, Sept. 21, 2010 on Tuesdays at 7
p.m. All regular cast members will be returning to show, including Matthew
Morrison as the Glee club director, Will Schuester, Lea Michele as the
self-absorbed singer, Rachel Berry, and ever popular Jane Lynch as the cynical
cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester. New faces will also premiere on the show,
such as John Stamos as Emma’s (Jayma Mays) boyfriend, the dentist.
When the first season concluded, the New Directions Glee club had
suffered a devastating disappointment after taking third place in the regionals
competition, not qualifying for nationals. At the start of season 2, the club
will begin the journey once again with even more drama, more slushies in the
face, and more Sue Sylvester.
The show promises even more excitement this season with a special
episode to pay tribute to Britney Spears as well as many new songs and dances.
When Sept. 21 arrives, Gleeks across the country will be singing with
excitement.
