Police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the downtown area Wednesday night.
According to reports, the victim was walking in the 300 block of North Henry Street at 9:30 p.m. when the suspect walked past him in the opposite direction.
The victim was then stabbed in the back of the head several times and turned to face the suspect, who was armed with a dinner fork.
The suspect swung the fork again and stabbed the victim in the cheek before fleeing on foot.
Police were unable to locate the suspect.
The victim suffered injuries to the back of the head as well as puncture wounds to the cheek, and was treated at a local hospital.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his mid-20s, standing about 5-foot-9 with a thin build. He reportedly had dark-blonde hair with a goatee and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a skull logo on the shoulder and dark green pants.
