A female is suspected of being the victim in an apparent abduction in Madison. The possible abduction occurred behind 415 S. Brooks St. around 9:30 p.m Wednesday night.
The victim is reported as being 30-years-old, 5-foot-4 inches tall with long, blonde hair.
According to a police release the victim was wearing a yellow jacket and was last seen struggling in a back alley. An unknown suspect reportedly forced the victim into a minivan.
The victim was able to break free from the van but was forced a second time into the van, according to the release.
Madison officers believe a report taken earlier Tuesday night on the south side may have included the two suspects possibly involved in the abduction.
The suspect is described as a black male approximately 30-years-old and six feet tall. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored athletic jersey and driving a two-tone minivan. The minivan is reported as possibly being a Dodge Caravan, silver or gray, from the late ’80s or early ’90s, according to the release.
Investigators have confirmed the identifications of the victim and the suspect. The names have not been released. Information on the second suspect also has not been released.
It is also believed that both parties were at one point involved in a relationship, according to the release.
It is not believed either the suspect or the victim have an affiliation with the University of Wisconsin.
Lt. Carl Strasburg, Madison Police Department, could not comment on the case or verify any updates to the investigation.
