University of Wisconsin’s Badger Ballroom Student Dance is a student organization with one aim in mind: making dancesport more approachable to the community.
The team aims to promote fun, build confidence and offer high quality, affordable ballroom dance instruction and is getting ready for one of their biggest events of the year.
The team will compete and host the Badger Ballroom Dancesport Classic on campus this weekend.
Each year, the competition attracts collegiate and adult competitors from all over the Midwest who come to challenge their skills in front of nationally ranked judges.
Events are offered in a wide range of skill categories from newcomer to championship. This gives newcomer competitors a fair chance to compete against dancers with similar experience. More advanced dancers compete against competitors at their skill level.
The sixth annual Badger Ballroom Dancesport Classic will be held Nov. 5 from 7:15 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Gordon Dining and Event Center on the second floor.
