About The Badger Herald

The Badger Herald is one of the nation’s largest fully independent student newspapers, located in Madison, Wisconsin and founded in 1969. The Herald publishes monthly print editions and provides daily online coverage.

Mission

The Herald strives to present objective news, entertaining sports and arts coverage and insightful editorial stances that reflect the interests and tastes of the University of Wisconsin community. In the process, we also hope to train the next generation of student journalists for success.

Letters should be less than 1000 words and provide name, relevant position information and student year, status and major (if applicable). Publication is based on available space and takes into account relevance and quality. The Herald may edit submissions accordingly. Unsigned letters will not be published. Please include your reply email address with your submission.
