Another bachanallia of unadulterated feasting has come and gone, and if you missed this year’s Taste of Madison, fear not faithful foodies, because there’s only 363 days until the next one.
And since you’ve got a little time on your hands until then, take this chance to read up on what you missed. Warning: an embarrassing amount of drooling may ensue.
According to event coordinators, the Square hosted an estimated 200,000 patrons and boasted a record number of food booths — 91 to be exact.
Coordinators experienced their busiest Saturday to date — even more than their record set five years ago.
Many of the booths boasted award-winning and unusual snacks, like chilled blueberry soup, alongside traditional favorites like Wisconsin brats and fresh steaming kettle corn.
So start the countdown, you’ve only got a year to plot the much-anticpated tour de food.
