State health officials announced that a second Wisconsin resident has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus Monday, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The Journal reported that the Pierce County resident was exposed while traveling within the United States and is isolated at home.

Health officials in Pierce County are working to identify people who have been in contact with the patient to quarantine them and test those exhibiting symptoms. Officials will hold a media briefing Tuesday, according to the Journal.
There are currently 14 pending COVID-19 test results in Wisconsin. The U.S.’s first patient with the virus was released from isolation in late February after recovering and testing negative twice, according to the Journal.

Wisconsin Department of Health Services Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ryan Westergaard told the Journal that with the rise in national cases, there is a high chance we will see more in Wisconsin in the coming weeks.
