Madison Police are investigating the Saturday morning attack of a woman on Langdon Street.
According to a Madison Police Department incident report, the incident occurred when the 25-year-old female victim was approached from behind while walking on 10th block Langdon Street around 3 a.m.
The male suspect reportedly struck the victim on the head. However, the woman was able to fight off her attacker, who then fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as male, Hispanic, in his mid-20s, 5-foot-7, with a stocky build. The report states he was last seen wearing a pink or red shirt, khaki shorts and a backwards baseball cap.
The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.
