Police arrested a man Wednesday morning after trespassing and beating up a resident of a Langdon Street apartment.
According to a Madison Police Department incident report, the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on the 600 block of Langdon Street when a Madison man, 22-year-old Christopher Nesvacil, pounded on an apartment door until the tenant opened the door, where he then attacked the tenant.
Nesvacil pushed his way into the victim’s apartment when he opened the door and reportedly chocked and punched the 21-year-old victim, according to the report.
The victim ran outside outside for help and when police arrived they found the victim’s apartment door locked, the report said.
According to the report, MPD officers knocked on the door only to have an underwear-clad Nesvacil answer and admit he did not live in the apartment.
Police arrested Nesvacil on the tentative charges of battery, criminal trespass, damage to property and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
