Unwanted advances and a potentially angry girlfriend or an elaborate duo heist left a woman bruised and out of a purse early Sunday morning.
A woman was punched in the face and robbed while outside of a popular downtown club, Sotto, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.
The attack occurred at 1:45 a.m. when a man made unwanted advancements on the victim, a 24-year-old Madison resident.
According to the report, when the man began flirting with the victim a woman claiming to be his girlfriend intervened and punched the victim in the head.
During the altercation, the suspects stole the victim’s purse and fled the scene on foot.
The male suspect was described in the report as black, 23-24 years old, 5 feet 8 inches and about 160 pounds. He was wearing a light blue polo-style shirt with white stripes and and blue jeans.
The female suspect was described as white, 23-24 years old, 5 feet 4 inches and about 125 pounds. She was said to be wearing a white tank top and light blue jeans
