A Madison man was arrested Wednesday after members of Madison’s West District’s Community Police Team seized 1,075 grams of marijuana and almost $23,500.
According to a report released by the Madison Police Department, Kit Martinson, 30, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver THC and possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a park.
Martinson was reportedly parked in a Raymond Road business parking lot for 45 minutes before the business manager called MPD. According to the report, the area has faced drug-related issues in the past.
Police could reportedly smell marijuana while speaking with Martinson, who told police that he might have a small bag of weed.
According to the report, a police dog was brought in and found Martinson’s claim to be a severe understatement.
