University of Wisconsin Police Department responded to a burglary incident in Sellery Residence Hall Sunday.
According to a UWPD incident report sent Monday, there may have been more than one victim in the burglary where up to four suspects could have been involved. The suspects are believed to have also entered Witte Residence Hall that evening.
According to the crime alert, the suspects entered the residence halls by “piggybacking” off of residents who opened the doors and keyed-in to the elevators.

UWPD encouraged students to check their rooms thoroughly for any missing belongings. The crime alert also reminded students in university residence halls to be wary of “suspicious activity,” to always lock their doors and to never allow anyone to “piggyback” their way into a secure hall or elevator.
UWPD is actively investigating this case, and believes the suspects are not UW students. Anyone who has information on the incident is urged to contact UWPD at (608) 264-2677.
