University of Wisconsin students and Madison community members joined together in support of UW Police Department at the top of Bascom Hill Friday afternoon. Many participants wrote thank you letters to UWPD, which were collectively placed into a container to be delivered to the department.
A few students in attendance protested the march, but peacefully marched alongside supporters to the UWPD station near Camp Randall.
The letters were delivered to UWPD Chief Sue Riseling.
