Police arrested a man in connection with the sexual assault of a woman at the University of Wisconsin Kohl Center Saturday.
The sexual assault occurred around 9:30 pm, UW Police Department spokesperson Marc Lovicott said. Police arrested a man at the scene and charged him with fourth degree sexual assault, battery and disorderly conduct, Lovicott said. The suspect is currently being held in the Dane County Jail, he said.
The perpetrator was not a university employee and is believed to have been a fan attending the UW men’s basketball game, Lovicott said.
UWPD is currently unable to release whether the victim was a student or further details regarding the incident as it is still under investigation, Lovicott said.
