Madison police are investigating a homicide after responding to reports of a shooting at a residence on Fish Hatchery Road early Thursday morning.
Police responded to a call about shots fired in an apartment on the 2300 block of Fish Hatchery Road around 1:11 a.m., according to a Madison Police Department statement. At the apartment police found the resident of the apartment, a 30-year-old Madison man, with an apparent gunshot wound, the statement said.
Police believe there were multiple people inside the apartment when the incident occurred, the statement said. The incident is believed to be a non-random act of violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
