A sexual assault occurred in a lakeshore residence hall last Friday, according to a timely warning from University of Wisconsin.
The two UW students involved knew each other and university officials are currently investigating the incident, the warning said.
UW Police Department was unable to offer additional details as the victim had not reported the assault to them, UWPD spokesperson Marc Lovicott said. The timely warning was sent out because the victim spoke to a university organization, Lovicott said.
