It looks as though the University of Wisconsin is getting back into the swing of things after managing to take down the Nebraska Cornhuskers 38-17 during their second road game of the season.
Saturday’s contest saw the return of tight end Troy Fumagalli, who was absent from the field last weekend after sustaining a lower leg injury during the Badger’s bye week. Fumagalli, who is a valuable leader for this team and is one of quarterback Alex Hornibrook’s favorite receivers, managed to garner 31 yards during three receptions during his first game back.
While Wisconsin struggled to keep points off the board during the second half of the game against Northwestern, they showed promising signs that their defense is returning to the same strength they started the season with. Before Northwestern, Wisconsin had managed to out-score opponents 91-0 during the second half.

Although there is still much turmoil surrounding the Nebraska athletics community as they look to replace their former athletic director, the Cornhuskers managed to push that all aside when they welcomed the Badgers under the Saturday night lights. The Cornhuskers gave both the Wisconsin offense and the Wisconsin defense a challenging game, and the Badgers proved they were welcome to the challenge of playing an intense game against a great Big Ten school.
