In his article (?Barrett alleges discrimination at 2 UW schools,? Jan. 21) Pedro Oliveira Jr. misstates my position, writing, ?Barrett was heavily scrutinized in fall 2006 for his public affiliation with the belief that the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center were perpetrated by the U.S. military.?
In fact, I have no affiliation with any such belief. The U.S. military consists of over 100,000 men and women, the vast majority of whom are loyal, patriotic Americans. Indeed, many military officers, including a general and several colonels, have bravely joined the 9/11 Truth Movement. And the 9/11 Truth Movement’s favorite Republican candidate, Ron Paul, is by far the biggest recipient of campaign contributions from U.S. military personnel. This suggests that the military is ahead of other American institutions in opposing and exposing the 9/11 crimes of high treason and mass murder. Indeed, it seems to be our military, not Congress or the people, that stands between Dick Cheney and his coveted attack on Iran!
The 9/11 Truth Movement believes the government’s story of what happened on Sept. 11 is false, and that the preponderance of evidence suggests that it was an inside job ? not an act ?perpetrated by the U.S. military.? Our top suspects are not military personnel, but neoconservative members and former members of the Bush administration and their allies in the United States and foreign intelligence services.
For example, the former president of Italy, Francesco Cossiga, recently stated that 9/11 was perpetrated by members of the CIA and the Israeli Mossad, and that this fact is known to the world intelligence community. Just last week the probable next prime minister of Japan, Yukihisa Fujita, discussed the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center during a session of Parliament and asked whether Japanese police could arrest George W. Bush for complicity in the attacks.
Neither Mr. Cossiga and Mr. Fujita, nor other 9/11 truth seekers, see ?the U.S. military? as the main suspect in the crimes of 9/11.
