Madison Police Officer Andrew Pullum pleaded not guilty Monday to stealing government property and being an unlawful drug user in possession of firearms.
Pullum was originally arrested Dec. 18 after a joint investigation involving MPD, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
In the first charge, Pullum is accused of stealing $3,950 from the FBI on Dec. 17 after an anti-corruption probe, according to a Department of Justice release.

The second charge accuses Pullum of possessing 16 firearms while being a marijuana and cocaine user. The release states he possessed 12 handguns, 3 rifles and a shotgun. Users of controlled substances are prohibited from possessing firearms, according to the release.
If convicted, Pullum could face up to 10 years in federal prison for each count.
