According to a University of Wisconsin WiscAlert, an armed robbery is being investigated by the Madison Police Department.
The man, described on the WiscAlert, is in his mid 20’s, 5-foot-10, thin build, wearing a black baggy hoody and black baggy pants. He showed a gun and ran in an unknown direction.
It is advised to avoid the general area, according to the alert.

Update 11:02 am: MPD believes the suspect is no longer in the immediate area and there is no threat to campus, according to the WiscAlert.
