After losing to Senator Ron Johnson in November, Middleton’s Russ Feingold will teach law in Milwaukee.

Former state and U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will return to the University of Wisconsin campus as a distinguished visiting lecturer in fall 2018.

Feingold will be teaching a capstone seminar in the international studies program entitled “Negotiating Peace in the African Great Lakes Region,” or International Studies 601, according to an African Studies program news release.

The former senator is well known for his work to raise awareness to the sub-Saharan Africa as Special Envoy for the African Region. During his tenure, he helped end one of the most serious armed conflicts in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo history.
