Pedestrian badly injured in hit-and-run on University Avenue

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday night on the 600 block of University Avenue while attempting to cross the street mid-block.

According to a Madison Police Department incident report, the driver, 36-year old Donisha Odom, continued outbound on University Avenue after hitting the pedestrian and was later located by police.

The pedestrian suffered significant injuries, and their current state is unknown.

Odom was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

The investigation is ongoing.

MPD could not be immediately contacted for further information.
