The Wisconsin Elections Commission Chair confirmed the results of the presidential election, officially declaring Republican Donald Trump the winner in Wisconsin.
According to a statement, Trump received 1,405,284 votes in the recount compared to 1,404,440 in the original canvas. After the recount, Trump’s margin over former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton increased by 131 votes.

Wisconsin Elections Commissioner Michael Haas said Wisconsin election officials rose to the occasion with individuals putting personal plans on hold to make sure the recount proceeded accurately.
Dane County finished the recount Saturday night. In Dane County, the number of votes for Clinton increased by 172.
The recount was completed ahead of schedule. As of Dec. 1, 47 counties counted by hand, 13 counties did a combination of optical scanners and hand count, and 12 counties used optical scanners.
