One young man was shot in the leg at East Towne Mall this afternoon after a disturbance.
According to a Madison Police Department incident report:
Just before 3 p.m. this afternoon, a 19-year-old male was shot in the leg inside East Towne Mall. Witnesses report several young men involved in a disturbance in the middle of the mall.

One of these young men pulled out a handgun and fired, striking the victim in the leg. The victim was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Officers cleared the mall, shutting it down for several hours. The mall has been reopened, except for the immediate area that the shooting occurred, but no suspect has been located at this time.
