A sexual assault which occurred in a Southeast residence hall was reported to a University of Wisconsin employee Sunday.
The reported assault occurred at 12 a.m. The University of Wisconsin Police Department believes the offender and the victim know each other, according to a UWPD statement.
UWPD issued a crime warning for the sexual assault on Monday afternoon. Because the crime was not reported to UWPD it is not under investigation.
