A sexual assault occurred at University of Wisconsin’s Memorial Union March 6 sometime in the evening.
The sexual assault was anonymously reported Thursday at 11:51 a.m. to another UW entity, but not to the UW Police Department, the UWPD crime log shows.
UWPD cannot release any more information because the sexual assault was not reported directly to them, UWPD spokesperson Marc Lovicott said.

Due to the nature of the crime, UWPD is required to include the sexual assault on its clergy crime log, Lovicott said.
