The Madison Police Department is continuing to search for suspects following an armed robbery at Wingstop Friday night.

According to a statement from the University of Wisconsin Police Department, a suspect entered the restaurant around 10:15 p.m. holding a silver handgun and ordered all the employees to the ground and demanded cash from the register.

The employees complied and the suspect fled and was observed getting into a dark four-door sedan, possibly a Chevy Malibu, last seen going westbound on Regent Street, the statement said.

The suspect is described as an African-American male in his early 20’s, last seen wearing a dark coat with a hood, dark jeans and red and black tennis shoes, the statement said. The description matches a suspect involved in an armed robbery last weekend at Pizza Extreme.
