University of Wisconsin police responded after a person collapsed on the Southeast Recreational Facility track Thursday at 12:15 p.m.
UWPD spokesperson Marc Lovicott said the man stopped breathing and collapsed after a cardiac-related incident.
Lovicott said Madison Fire Department officers performed CPR before transporting the man to a hospital by ambulance.

He declined to confirm whether the individual was a student or the person’s current status.
