Blocks of West Gilman, North Broom and West Dayton to close Wednesday

Through traffic will be closed on the 400 block of West Gilman Street between University Avenue and State Street from 7 a.m to 5 p.m. Wednesday due to JH Finderoff construction. 

To accommodate the needs of drivers, two-way traffic will be permitted from North Broom Street to homes and businesses on the east side of the 400 block of West Gilman.

Through traffic will also be closed Wednesday on the 100 block of West Dayton Street and the 100 block of North Fairchild Street between North Carroll Street and West Mifflin Street from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. while AT&T begins to install a telecommunications service near the Overture Center on State Street.

Drivers going to West Dayton Street will be sent south on Wisconsin Avenue toward the Capitol, west on West Mifflin Street, then south on North Carroll Street to circle the square and reach West Washington Avenue.

Local vehicles will be able to reach the Associated Bank drive-through and State Street Capitol Parking Garage throughout the day.

Pedestrians will be able to access these streets during construction hours.
