A large sign with an estimated value of $500 was stolen from Camp Randall early Sunday morning, according to the University of Wisconsin Police Department.

A surveillance camera at the stadium caught two males and two females carrying the 12 feet by 2 feet sign that was used to direct visitors to football offices at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. The sign was taken down for construction and was left leaning on a concrete wall inside Camp Randall, where the theft occurred.

UWPD said they believe the act was “some sort of prank” or perhaps a “redecorating project” and are asking anyone who has information about the crime to contact them.
