Badgers’ rule of ice extends outdoors

Players from the Wisconsin men\’s hockey team celebrate after scoring a goal late in the third period of the Camp Randall Hockey Classic Saturday. Over 55,000 fans braved the below-freezing temperatures to see Wisconsin defeat Michigan 3-2 in the contest.[/media-credit]
Saturday’s Culver Hockey Classic at Camp Randall saw a total of 48 individuals ejected from the games, 10 of those ejections being University of Wisconsin students, according to a statement from UW Police Department. In all, eight citations were issued, five of them to UW students. Thirty-six ejections came as a result of alcohol-related issues including possession of alcohol and intoxication. Five individuals were transported by UWPD to detox throughout the day’s events. Two were cited for resisting or obstructing, and three bold individuals were ejected from the games for public urination.
