It doesn’t get easier for Curt Phillips.
The redshirt sophomore quarterback was injured in Tuesday’s practice and UW head coach Bret Bielema was cryptic at best about the situaion.
“Tuesday practice, basically, Curt was on the scout team, just trying to get us a look, trying to get him some reps,” Bielema said Thursday. “We got him in a situation now where we’ll hold off announcing anything until Saturday or Sunday.”Phillips tore his ACL in spring practice back in March. He was apparently ahead of schedule as far as rehab, but seems to have suffered a setback.
Offensive lineman Josh Oglesby’s ACL surgery was reported to have gone well and sophomore linebacker Chris Borland was said to be recovering well from shoulder surgery. Freshman defensive lineman Konrad Zagzebski also had a season-ending shoulder surgery. Zagzebski was redshirting this season.
